Airsoft Face Protection – BattleAxe Electric Fan Mask supplied by AirsoftPark
www.facebook.com BattleAxe Electric Fan Mask as supplied by AirsoftPark for video review. An excellent value for money mask which stood up to a full day of punishment at Fife Wargames in Scotland, not only from BBs but also the cold, damp weather. AirsoftPark Website www.airsoftpark.com AirsoftPark FaceBook www.facebook.com AirsoftPark YouTube www.youtube.com As CQB is becoming more popular in Scotland and more players are experiencing facial injuries, even in woodland, i will be looking at face protection over a whole series of videos. I will be looking at masks from various companies and various price ranges. This is the first mask in the series to be reviewed and it will feature again at a later date in a follow up review where it will be worn for a full day of game play to check the effectiveness of the fan, vision and comfort. I have a number of masks already earmarked for review but if you own a mask that you would like to see reviewed or you are a company who produce or distribute masks then please get in touch if you wish to see your product reviewed and publicised.

@Vermuli98 its from skirmish clothing

@AirsoftWehrmacht We play CQB at 330 fps max and I’ve seen broken teeth and bleeding wounds regularly on people who do not wear full face protection. I got shot last week from 12 meters away right on the forehead between my goggles and hat, and more than a week later I still have a visible red mark. 400+ fps from feet away should be able to penetrate skin, not just break it. you could shoot through someones cheek with that.
@KeithHPOW Yeah we were the same. It helps, but its not a cure for fogging. I’m doing a lot of CQB right now and it’s often pretty dark, so I’m gagging for a clear mask that works. I compromised with Heroshark mesh glasses, fog free and a much wider mesh lets more light in, but still not as much as perspex.
nice review.
regards from Italian softgunner
@axeman3d Used it at Crail and it fogged very quickly as you’d expect. The fan helped and kept me in play for longer but after a while i had to take a break to clear the lens.
@weetecguy97 Look out for a follow up video as per the details in the description. Can’t really do justice to the fan element without showing the mask in gameplay and getting some honest feedback from players wearing it. I found the fan to be reasonably effective!
Woh, coool. That is cool.
I’m not meaning to sound tough or anything ,but honestly we fire 420 fps – 466 fps guns from about 10 feet I don’t get welts that bad as that guy did on his cheek bone. Also over time of being shot a million times from about 3 feet I barely feel airsoft bbs to the face now. When me and my friends started playing we played a game type where if you were shot you were still alive you would pelt each other until you were in so much pain you were forced to surrender it sucked.
I had this mask ,but without the air cooling fans I bought it at walmart for 20$
Hi I live in Japan, and I’m very sure this face mask is the same mask made by Tokyo Marui
so perhaps this was made in japan?
The mask looks good. Full protection for the face, very nice. Thanks for the review AG!
that mask its out of a fucking horror movie.
I have this mask. It work’s good. But it fogs easy. I have been shot at blank range in the eye’s with this mask.
this has to be the shittiest mask ever
You should really look at using a Paintball Mask. I’m not talking cheap -20 dollar range. For example, Dye i4′s, Empire Events, Sly Profits- these masks provide great coverage, with the Dual-Pane lens system. This makes virtually NO FOG! Look them up, try them out, tell me what you think.
Got one of these just another brand and i can say that the fan is quite loud and dose not work that good.
This mask, for me, fog up like hell!
Used one for CQB. Thefan helps, but the batteries only last half a day so you have to just turn it off and on as you steam up. Unless you dont sweat or breateh, you will eventually steam up. My mate and myself have a pile of masks like this we’ve tried, none are mist proof. I’ve switched back to mesh, it’s darker but never mists and doesn’t catch your breath moisture so much.
You forgot the most importan thing, THE FAN, does it work ? Is it loud? How long do the batteries last for ?
Nice review Keith
A mesh lower mask with foam or fleece padding on the cheeks added to it should be comfy. Or get the mask with ear covers, as it doesnt press against the cheeks, and remove the padded bit, as will allow more airflow and a much better cheekweld.
The foam part that goes up against your skin isn’t glued on very well on mine at least. recommend you super-glue it when you need to. other than that, i love it.
